History

The Avalon Group (T.A.G.) was founded by Heather Jones in San Francisco in 1998 at the crest of the dot-com boom. Since then, T.A.G. has remained a boutique recruiting agency specializing in marketing recruiting for Bay area Internet security startups. Over the years, Heather and her team have worked closely with some of the top, thriving Bay area security startups to help them staff their marketing teams and grow their businesses.

Back in 1998 security was big, but now it’s HUGE! As a result T.A.G. has placed hundreds of security professionals in many types of marketing roles including, but not limited to demand generation, product marketing, marketing programs, brand marketing, product management, marketing operations, social media, public relations and corporate communications, channel and partner marketing and technical marketing.
